Youth must lead Anambra come November 2017- Anaocha Youths
The youths of Anaocha LGA gathered at Neni the head quarters of Anaocha local government to chat the way forward for youths in the area.
A One Day Seminar/Lecture tagged; Re-strategising the Youths Towards Achieving Sustainable Developed was held by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anaocha Chapter to sensitise the youths on there role toward achieving a sustainable development.
While speaking at the event, the state chairman of NYCN Comr Ifeanyi Nwosu reminded the youths how the youths all gathered, fasted and prayed for the incumbent governor Obiano's success at the election, only for him to turn against the youths and the masses who laboured to bring him to power.
Comr. Nwosu further stated that the governor only uses the youths for thuggery and unwholesome political evil activities that will not contribute any meaningful development in the life of the youths.
In his reaction, the guest speaker to the event Hon Dr. Tony Nwoye who was ably represented by Hon Bar Ken Arinze (former Commissioner for Commerce & Industry) reminded the youths that the past leaders of our nation who forth for Nigeria's independence and development in Nigeria where all Youths at the time they created those impacts and achievement in the nation.
Hon Ken Arinze stated that the leaders pasts who were mostly youths weren't foreign diplomats and technocrats, they weren't retired civil servants and desk officers at internal organisations who claim what they are not once they return to the country.
Hon Arinze urged the youths to remain determined, focused and resolved in selecting their leaders in the forthcoming governorship election were they will deliver the youth into the Anambra state government house in other to attain its targeted development and achievement.
Anocha youths who are determined to create lasting change in the society therefore resolved to support any major political party that nominates a youth as its governorship candidate.
