*RE-PETITION SUBMITTED TO EFCC AGAINST SENATOR ANDY UBA, STELLA ODUA, DR TONY NWOYE OVER THE USE OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCY FUNDS FOR ELECTION CAMPAIGNS BY ANA
MBRA CONSCIENCE MOVEMENT.*
Again, another amorphous organisation called Anambra Conscience Movement has been raised to malign and tarnish the image of Dr Tony Nwoye after their failed bid to disqualify him through the court and screening process.
Dr. Tony Nwoye has remained the most criticised and petitioned Aspirant in this election, yet, he has come out of each hurdle better, stronger and more loved by the people and delegates in general.
Yesterday, Our attention was called to another frivoulus petition by this pseudo group titled Andy Ubah, Tony Nwoye others petitioned for diversion of constituency projects funds to election campigns.
The pseudo petitioners has alleged Sen Andy Uba, Hon Tony Nwoye, Sen Stella Odua and hon Linda Ikpeazu are the aspirants in which in their own words that stated thus.
..these aspirants have bought cars and shared to party officials across the state just to induce them to vote for them at the primaries of their parties and we have traced these funds to funds allocated in the budget 2015 and 2016 for execution of constituency projects
These hired goons equally boasted of have a credible information that a large order have been placed cars, tricycles, and motorcycles also to be diverted to be diverted for election campaign purposes. These orders are to be paid for with funds which were supposed to be used for constituency projects,but which were diverted.
Without paying further attention to other mumbling contained in their paid write up, may we for the avoidance of doubts and to put the record straight state thus.
1. It is on record tgat Dr Tony Nwoye was not sworn-in with his fellow members the same time in June 2015. He won election for the Federal House of Representatives, but was rigged out. He came in through the court and was sworn in December 2015.
2. It is on record that 2016 Constituency Projects was never executed by Honourable members, but through various Agencies and Ministries whose those projects fall under their control.
3. It is instructive to note that the role of a Legislator is to make laws for the good of the country and over-sight function in which Dr Tony Nwoye has done exactly well in the past 1 years plus some months.
4. That Dr Tony Nwoye never bought any car/s, Tricycles, motorcycles for any individual or groups so as to induce the person or groups to vote for him.
5. That Dr. Tony Nwoye has never diverted any constituency projects funds for any campaign. Dr Tony Nwoye has only witnesed one year Budget which is 2016 budget. That 2016 constituency projects funds as stipulated in 2016 budget was judiciously used. That projects like stretch lights, renovation of schools etc at various communities at Anambra East and West were part of the 2016 constituency projects. The Picture evidences are attached.
6. That Dr Tony Nwoye does not intend to buy and had not placed order for any automobile of any type that he intends to share or use just to induce the party delegates to vote for him.
7. Dr Tony Nwoye believes in principle of free will, even as is granted to humanity by God to free choose between good and evil, to make a choice of whom to serve. Thus he does not believe in any Greek gifts to coerce or induce the delegates.
8. That Dr Tony Nwoye is not an accidental father christmass or seasonal political philanthropist. He is a man of event season.
9. That 2017 budget has been passed and signed by the Acting President, but no money has been released yet. Once it is released, APC Government at the Centre will continue to use those funds for the good of Anambra People and Nigerians in general.
10. That the issue of constituency projects funds for the year 2015, the Group should direct their investigation to Honourable Member that was in the House before He was sacked by the Court. They should hold APGA Representatives then responsible while projects for 2016 can be seen at so so locations with picture evidence.
Finally, we wish to let the public know that more of these baseless allegations will continue to come. I want to let this group know that He who alleges must prove. We give them 48 hours to withdraw the name of Dr Tony Nwoye from the petition, failing to do so, we will take every necessary legal step to prove our innocence.
