Holistic Approach to Youth Empowerment and Emancipation - key to societal Development- Hon Dr. Tony Okechukwu Nwoye
Most developed Nations of the world have in the time past focused and channeled its efforts and resources respectively to meaningful youth engagement and development to attain the height they are today.
This is because the youths constitutes a greater percentage of the productive population of any nation.
Research have shown that most developed nations gave maximum attention to youths before they could develop to the extent they have achieved, but in Africa and Anambra in particular the youths are sorted out for during election and campaign period with promises of heaven on earth which, after elections they are seen and referred to as touts, criminals and bandit that should not be allowed close must be quarantined from both oficial and governemnt circles.
Youths are nicknamed criminals and thieves when ever they demand accounts of how their resources are used, asks for inclusion and participation in government in which they must have suffered with so much pains and inconveniences to install. What an irony!
This has been the lots of many governments in the state, a bad omen that i am sure will become history when Hon Dr Tony Nwoye who still falls within the age bracket of youths, grew amongst the present youths in the state have practical experience of the plight of the youths in our society today becomes the Governor of Anambra state.
I believe that the government of Dr Tony Nwoye will have a holistic approach towards youth empowerment which includes creating of job opportunities, entrepreneurial skill acquisition, basic guidance education to the youths and Youth Agricultural development programs.
His administration will encourage more youths into politics, sports, military and paramilitary in other to return our state to its former glory and surpass the achievement of our fathers.
The youths are truely the bedrock of every society, therefore requires holistic and practical approach in solving the equations of youth empowerment.
Building the youths for greater development should be above lips services or petty compensation of few party youth loyalists just for political purpose.
His aims, objectives and request for the leadership of this state is to work for the total development of the youths of which will lead to the total development across all sectors in the state.
